What EMS Training Is
EMS stands for Electrical Muscle Stimulation. During EMS training,
electrodes built into a specialized suit send controlled electrical impulses to stimulate
your muscles while you perform guided exercises.
These impulses are intended to support muscle activation and make training more efficient.
EMS training can be highly effective, but it is still a form of physical exercise and
carries risks similar to, and in some cases beyond, traditional training.
Important Information
EMS training may cause muscle soreness, fatigue, cramping, skin irritation, dizziness,
shortness of breath, aggravation of pre-existing injuries, or other unexpected physical responses.
Every person responds differently.
It is important that you disclose any medical condition, implant, injury, surgery,
medication, or other concern that could affect your ability to safely participate.
EMS training may not be appropriate for everyone. Individuals with certain conditions,
including but not limited to pacemakers, certain heart conditions, epilepsy, pregnancy,
or other medical concerns, may not be eligible to participate unless cleared by a physician.
You should stop immediately and notify your trainer if you feel pain, dizziness, nausea,
unusual discomfort, shortness of breath, or anything that feels abnormal during the session.
